New Kindergarten Readiness Indicators for Math and Science: Next Steps in Validation, Communication and Projecting Policy Impacts

Principal Investigator:
Project Overview
Background & Purpose:

This EAGER project will allow a faster dissemination of potentially important new findings about the origins of achievement score gaps and possible explanations for the differential patterns of progress in raising math, science and reading scores. Such dissemination will allow improved review and scrutiny of results and the associated methodology and better assessment of the policy implications of the work.

Research Design:

This project has a longitudinal research design and will generate evidence that is associative. Longitudinal data on children from birth to 8th grade taken from ECLS-K and ECLS-B is being analyzed using econometric and growth models.

Findings:

Findings will be posted as they become available.
